How much battery does Rain Rain use?
Rain Rain is an extremely efficient app and uses very little battery while playing sounds. To maximize your battery life, we recommend turning off your screen or locking your device when using Rain Rain for an extended amount of time while on battery power. Most users leave their phone plugged in overnight while they listen. Additionally, you can also save battery by using the Fade-out Timer to turn off Rain Rain at a certain time or after a duration.
Can I use other apps or lock my device while Rain Rain is playing?
Yes! If a sound is playing, Rain Rain continues working while you use other apps or turn off your screen.
Can I use Rain Rain offline?
Yes! To use a sound offline, first play the sound while you are connected to the Internet. As soon as the sound starts playing, it has been saved and is now available for you to use offline. Each saved sound takes up roughly the same space as a single picture.
How does Rain Rain use data?
Rain Rain saves sounds to your device the first time they are played in order to conserve data usage. This means Rain Rain uses MUCH less data than alternatives like Spotify or YouTube. This also means you can use Rain Rain offline. The saved sounds are automatically deleted when your device runs low on space. Each saved sound takes up roughly the same amount of space as a single picture, so you can rest easy knowing that Rain Rain isn’t going to eat your data plan or fill up your device.
How do I listen to another app and Rain Rain at the same time on iOS?
If you want to listen to another audio app (like Music) at the same time as Rain Rain, start playing the other audio app first, then launch Rain Rain and pick a sound.
